Androgynous model Andrej Pejic is making a lot of money out of his man boobs. The 20-year old Australian featured this week in an advertising campaign for Dutch fashion chain HEMA, promoting a Mega Push-Up Bra, which HEMA claims adds “two cups” to your bra size.
One does wonder what the fashion industry is coming to with having a man promoting a bra dressed in womens’ lingerie. However, if you see photos of Andrej, you understand why agencies want him working. He does fit the quintessential image of a female model – I don’t want to really describe him in great detail, but let’s just say in some of his photos you wouldn’t know he was a male unless someone told you.
He has modelled for both men’s and women’s fashion shows in Paris for designers Jean-Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs (These names don’t mean anything to me either) Like most female models, he has admitted that he lives in a state of semi-starvation. Interestingly, eating after long periods of fasting or controlled starvation is said to be one of the causes of gynecomastia.
In May 2011, Andrej appeared on the cover of New York-based magazine Dossier Journal – in which he is pictured taking off his shirt exposing his man boobs in all their glory with his long blond locks in curlers. US bookstores Barnes & Noble and Borders covered the image with opaque sleeves as they had concerns that customers would mistake him for a topless woman.
With so many men desperate to get rid of their man boobs, it is ironic with have a male fashion model dressed as a woman promoting a push-up bra making world headlines. If you are suffering from gynecomastia and are seeking treatments, please take time to read our gynexin review.
